Future work

When creating a future vision we work with you to bring the future orientation of your organization into the present. Together we shape and visualize a future scenario that you find desirable. This is best done through foresighting and reflection. The insights gained in the future vision process are then incorporated into the strategy development.

We created a process for future visioning (VIMAR®). For people with thoughtfulness and foresight.

  • Learn from the company’s experience
  • Reflect on the present
  • Work on values
  • Analyze trends and development
  • Design the intended future
  • Develop a strategy to achieve the intended future
  • Define areas of activities
  • Take action

Strategy consulting

We accompany you in the development and implementation of your strategy.
The core question we help you clarify: “Which path do you want to take and what steps are necessary?”

The answers can be found in the following areas:

  • What is your core mission?
  • What are your core competencies?
  • What are your core products and services?
  • What sets you apart from the competition?
  • How will you implement the strategy?

We support you with our knowledge and know-how. We facilitate your strategy meetings. We provide you with the appropriate tools. We co-create the conditions and parameters for the systematic implementation of your strategy.

People development

People development encompasses the targeted development of all employees. As humanists, we are convinced every person has the potential to grow and continuously develop themselves. Our role is to help them develop their full potential.

The core question we ask: “Which skills and competencies will be crucial for the employees in reaching the company’s goals and to keep pace with innovations?”

Our approach is based on backward thinking. Together with you, we define the desired results of the development and qualification interventions.

We then support you in further refining your qualification goals, conducting a needs assessment, developing suitable measures and ensuring the transfer of learning.

Our blended learning approach promotes self-directed learning, as well as learning from each other in groups and teams. The focus of all our development measures is on applying the newly developed skills and knowledge in everyday work. This approach develops the skill of “active learning and learning strategies”, which comes in second place on the Top 10 Skills of 2025 ranking by the World Economic Forum (WEF). We accomplish this by supporting the learners in the discovery of their individual learning preferences and strategies, which enables them to learn for life.

We offer our combined knowledge, skills and experience in the areas of

  • Economics & Humanities
  • Liberal arts & natural sciences
  • Neuro & Cognitive Sciences

We also employ screening procedures.

Corporate Culture

Culture is at the core of every company. Every company has one. But which one?

Our core questions are “Why do we operate the way we do? Which culture do we have? Which culture do we want to develop?”

In culture work, we use qualitative methods to explore the values, artefacts and assumptions people in your company share. Company culture work is work far below the surface. Our goal is to bring the invisible elements of your company culture to light. This is the key to the transformation processes within your company.

We are convinced: A beautiful organization is the basis for business success.

The School of Thinking

“Many people would sooner die than think. In fact, they do.” (Bertrand Russell)

Just think! Sapere aude! Have courage to use your own reason!
(Immanuel Kant, based on Horace)

We are amidst the great transformation from an industrial society to a knowledge society. The foundation of the knowledge society is the cooperation of independent protagonists. It needs people who are autonomous. Autonomy means thinking and acting accountably.
TSOT draws on humanities, neuro-, and cognitive sciences and uses them for future-oriented questioning in your organization.

TSOT supports you in developing future skills for your organization. The World Economic Forum provides an overview of these critical future skills in their Top 10 skills for 2025 report

We ignite your thinking through five thinking categories: a repertoire of different methods and thought models. We help you understand complexity phenomena, potentially distorted perceptions and thereby overcome fallacies. This increases the effectiveness of your decisions.

Smart TSOT decision makers handle complexity in a way that their strategies result in the intended outcomes. Their mindset is proactive and open, their observation skills sophisticated. Conclusions are on point and decisions are effective. Smart decision makers ask unusual questions to check if the facts are indeed correct. Through their effective, creative thought processes, they optimize innovation projects.

TSOT’s Focus:

Meaning centered thinking

Asking the right questions opens up room for fruitful collaboration, both within the company, as well as the larger network. The answers to the right questions provide a cue for appropriate action. This allows us to find meaning in the respective context.

We work with you to find the right questions. We help you discover questions you may not have asked yourself yet. Based on this foundation, a culture of joint value attainment can grow.

Integrated thinking

Integrated thinking supports you in embracing complexity. You learn to consciously deal with complexity phenomena by practicing interconnected thinking. Complexity is a valuable resource, which opens up potentials. Those that can understand and apply this have arrived in the knowledge society.

Critical thinking

Our repertoire also includes analytical thought models to validate our thinking patterns and decision options. We apply logic and reasoning techniques, highlight their advantages, but also point out limitations. Insights from behavioral economics are also part of TSOT. Critical thinking supports you in identifying your own subconscious thought patterns and pitfalls.

Creative thinking

Creative thinking is the ability to see alternative possibilities for certain questions. This requires introspection and cognitive latitude. The cycles, within which business models are effective, are getting shorter and shorter; before they are replaced by new ones. Therefore, thought models and methods that stimulate and enhance your creativity are critical to your success.

Aesthetic thinking

Aesthetic thinking provides you access to unprejudiced awareness with all your senses. This happens independently of external influences and awakens your curiosity. You follow this trail and suddenly discover completely new development perspectives.

Aesthetic thinking thrives on freedom of thought, openness and contemplation. These three parameters, in combination with the four other types of thinking, are indispensable for understanding complex phenomena.
